Episode 78: Beautiful, Cool, and Gross
The Pacific Ocean month begins with Casey discussing his recent trip to Universal Studios Hollywood to celebrate his younger sister’s birthday, and Ali discussing her experience returning back to work, and visiting the Wild Animal Park with a couple of guests. Casey goes on to talk about how artificial intelligence programs are being implemented to help conservation efforts in Hawaii, while Ali gives us some updates on our favorite flight crew, the San Francisco Wag brigade. The two then discuss some of their Favorite Species of Fish Found Around Hawaii, the Spectacled Parrotfish and the Moorish Idol. Casey then gives us a lesson on our cold-blooded Animal of the Week, the Marine Iguana. Casey brings this episode to an end by challenging Ali’s knowledge of the Pacific Ocean and its inhabitants with a quiz focused on that region.

Episode 79: Ocean Marvels
Casey gets us started by talking about his trip to the Wild Animal Park, and gives us some intel he gained regarding the passes. Ali talks about her visit to the San Diego Zoo and how much she loves the new Explorers Base Camp. Next, Casey talks about a new and exciting gallery opening up at the Monterey Bay Aquarium entitled Into the Deep, while Ali gives us an update on her pet peeves surrounding people’s behavior at zoos. They proceed to talk about some of their Favorite Species of Pelagic Fish Found in the Pacific Ocean, the Flying Fish and the Pacific Sardine. Casey then educates us on our fascinating deep dwelling Animal of the Week, the Barreleye. The pair bring the episode to an end by finishing out this season’s run of their ‘Cups’ game.

Episode 80: Dream Destinations and Fancy Feet
This episode gets started with Casey giving us an update on his carnivorous plants, and Ali giving an explanation of the technical difficulties which delayed the podcast, and her experience at the Women’s March. Casey educates us about how ‘scary birds’ and robots are being used to help save wildlife in Europe, before Ali gives us another breed highlight, this time talking about the adorable Alaskan Klee Kai. They go on to talk about their Dream Wildlife Destination in the Pacific to See a Wildlife Event, specifically schooling hammerheads and hatchling sea turtles. Casey goes on to give us a lesson on this month’s listener’s choice for Animal of the Week, the Blue-Footed Booby. The episode comes to an end with Casey challenging Ali to some turtle trivia in honor of World Turtle Day.

Episode 81: Extremely Rare and Adorable
Casey begins this episode talking about all the animal sightings that he’s had while going on his morning walks, and Ali talks about her experience with a rattlesnake and a coyote on a recent hike. Casey talks about some bad news discussing how an epidemic of bird flu is affecting both wild, and domestic birds, and Ali gives us some interesting, and disturbing, news about how scientists have recently observed a new hybrid of monkey in the wild in Borneo. The pair then go on to talk about some of their Favorite Species They Have Personally Seen in the Pacific Ocean, the Green Sea Turtle and the California Sea Lion. Casey teaches us about our final Animal of the Week for the Pacific Ocean, the Vaquita, before Ali brings the final Pacific Ocean episode to an end with another round of 'Leopardy' for Casey.
