Episode 95: Cozy Sharks and Cool Birds

The episode begins with Casey sharing about his most recent trip to the San Diego Wild Animal Park with his family, while Ali rates another nature documentary, National Geographic’s America the Beautiful: Waterland, giving it a rating of Safe. Casey continues discussing big cat populations in the USA, and Ali shares an article about a mass stranding of Pilot Whales in Tasmania. The pair then talk about their Favorite Marine Birds, the Arctic Tern and the American Oystercatcher, before Casey tells us about our first Atlantic Animal of the Week, the Pyjama Shark. They end the episode with another round of ‘Cups’ to finish off the first Atlantic Ocean episode of Season 3.

Episode 96: Under the Spooky Sea

Casey kicks off this episode recounting seeing Smile with his sister, and Ali shares about her latest trip to the San Diego Wild Animal Park, where she successfully found her hat, and about seeing Cats later that night at the Civic Center in San Diego. Casey goes on to give us helpful information regarding pet oral health, while Ali shares the most adorable contest ever, Fat Bear Week! They continue on discussing their Favorite Sea Animal Listed in Under the Sea from The Little Mermaid, the Pelagic Stingray and the Dotted Sea Slug. Casey teaches us about our spooky Animal of the Week, the Sea Spider, before ending with a challenge where the two must name as many animals that give people the heebie jeebies as possible within the allotted time.

Episode 97: Under the Spooky Sea

This episode begins with Casey telling us about his experience at orientation to volunteer with Wild Wonders, a local rescue group for exotic animals. Ali then recounts Tiger-Lily’s horror and excitement with things changing around the house since the carpet was replaced. Casey discusses a story with petty congressmen wanting to withhold funding from the Monterey Bay Aquarium as a result of a suggestion on their sustainable fish consumption app, and Ali highlights the Romanian Carpathian Shepherd Dog for our breed this month. The pair go on to discuss their Favorite Sea Creatures That Give You the Heebie Jeebies, the Geography Cone Snail and the Bobbit Worm, followed by Casey telling us about our adorable Animal of the Week, the Atlantic Spotted Dolphin. Ali closes out the episode with a challenge called ‘Figure it Out’, a revenge quiz for one Casey previously gave her.

Episode 98: Spooky Cinema and an Intimidating Name

Casey kicks off this episode talking about his recent trip to the movies to see Halloween Ends with his mom and sisters, and Ali rates yet another documentary, National Geographic’s America The Beautiful: Northland, giving it a rating of Safe. Casey tackles the myth that coyotes will lure a dog out to be attacked by the rest of the pact, spoiler alert, they don’t. Ali then shares the terrible news that the Avian Flu wiped out all of the birds at Knuckle Bump Farm, home of the famed Emanuel, excluding all but two birds, Rico and Emanuel. They then share their Favorite or Scariest Animal Related Horror Film, Pet Semetary and Jaws. Casey teaches us about our final Animal of the Week from the Atlantic, the Razorbill, before ending the episode with a spooky themed quiz for Ali.
